The course explores all aspects of United States Patent Law, before and after the America Invents Act of 2011 and includes topics of patent procurement and enforcement of patent. For example, including inventorship, section 102 bars, disclosure requirements, specification and claims, patentable subject matter, requirements for patentability, filing and prosecution of a patent application, claim interpretation, infringement and litigation issues, patent defenses, post-grant proceedings, third-party pre-publication submissions, etc.
