Employee Benefits in Corporate Transactions (EB-376)
This course applies the employee benefits fundamentals learned in Fundamentals I and II of Retirement Plan Issues to the context of a sale of a business, bankruptcy, or other corporate transactions. Discussion focuses not only the corporate attorney perspective on such transactions, but also the in-house benefits attorney and human resources perspectives. Actuarial, accounting, and international benefits issues are also addressed. Since an actual negotiation is critical in such transactions, the course will include an in-class mock negotiation.
