Clinic: Trademark (Advanced) (IP-447A)
This course has prerequisites of Trademark Clinic. Under the supervision of a trademark practitioner, students will conduct trademark searches, write trademark opinion letters and write and prosecute trademark applications for individuals and small businesses before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Students will prosecute and supervise a portfolio of in-process applications. Students will prepare responses to technical and substantive office actions under supervision and, if such actions arise, will handle opposition and cancellations proceedings limited to concurrent use and likelihood of confusion issues under lawyer supervision. Prerequisite: Trademark Law & Practice or Trademark & Copyright Law; and Trademark Clinic. Requirement: Students must be in good academic standing. Students can register for this clinic on their own.
