Globalization, Intellectual Property Intellectual Property and the Internet (IP-429GL)
This course examines the impact of the global digital economy, international trade and the WTO on IP protection. It also examines how IP has become an item of trade and the impact this "trade status" has upon its international regulation and development along with the broader implications for IP protection and enforcement in view of the wide range of international agencies and policies which have been implicated by this regulation of IP rights on the Internet and in such diverse international areas as trade, sustainable development, economic development, and technology and wealth transfer.
