Patent Law Planning & Practice (JD-290)
This course explores planning for efficient economic use of intellectual property, obtaining patent disclosures from inventors, patent search initiation and opinion analysis. The course also explores preparation of patent applications, including claim drafting criteria, analysis of Patent Examiner action and preparation of a response, trademark search criteria, analysis and opinion preparation, preparation of trademark and copyright applications, patent infringement analysis and opinion preparation, and effective use of intellectual property licenses.
