Sexual Orientation Law (JD-168)
This course has prerequisites of Lawyering Skill I and II, Contract I and II, Criminal Law, Civil Pro.I, and Con. Law I, Property and Torts. This seminar explores the legal regulation of sexual orientation and gender identity. It begins by examining historical views of sexual orientation and the myriad effects that religion, culture, science, and politics have had on sexual orientation law. The seminar then surveys employment discrimination and other legal issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
