Sex Crimes (JD-164)
The purpose of this course is to explore the development of laws concerning sexual violence and the direction of such laws in the future. Topics to be discussed include the substantive laws against rape, child molestation, obscenity, child pornography, and prostitution. Further, the class will address the emerging law related to the collateral regulations on sex offenders including registration requirements, residency restrictions, and civil commitment.
